Smith-Rivera attracts more interest
One of the more talked about guards in the 2012 class is D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera. The physically developed combo guard has been a dominant force for a long time against his peers, and recently he picked up a state championship ring. Now he is beginning to pick up even more attention on the recruiting trail.
Things went well for Smith-Rivera this season. His North Central High School team won the state title, and the 6-foot-3 and 215 pound guard showed why he is one of the more highly recruited players in the Midwest.
About winning the title, Smith-Rivera said, "It was a great feeling. We went out on top and celebrated together and everything. It was something I wanted to experience for a long time since my freshman year. It was just a nice feeling."
