Five Questions with Aaron Colvin

This time last year Owasso, Okla. Aaron Colvin was far from a known name in recruiting circles but after hitting numerous camps he found himself in the middle of a circus. Colvin has never been shy about his thoughts and feelings about things and the 6-foot, 185-pound defensive back showed it yet again in this edition of 'Five Questions'.

Clark Foy: What person has had the biggest impact on your life so far?

Aaron Colvin: Definitely my mother and my dad. You know, just everything they've come from, they've overcame everything they were faced with and have always given me and my sister and my brother everything we wanted.

CF: What's your nickname amongst your buddies, teammates?

AC: Yeah, everybody calls me Slick back at home. When I used to play baseball back in the day, I made everything look real smooth, like it was real easy, so that's where it came from.

CF: Finish this sentence: Reading a book is comparable to...

AC: To sitting on the toilet and taking a number two.

CF: What are you most excited about in your first year at Oklahoma?

AC: Probably just the whole atmosphere of the football, probably just the whole college atmosphere. And getting to compete against some of the best talent from around the states, so I'm just looking forward to competing, honestly.

CF: What are your expectations for your career at Oklahoma?

AC: I want to be an impact player, that's probably everybody's answer, but that's what I want, to make an impact. I want to do both, I want to get to the top of my game, just like everybody wants, but I want to help out off the game and help out those people who are less fortunate.
