Donnal ready for the next chapter

With only a couple weeks of high school remaining, Andrew Donnal says he is ready for the next chapter in his life. That will take the 6-foot-7, 290-pound offensive lineman to Iowa City this summer as he works out with the Hawkeyes in preparation for his freshman year at Iowa. Donnal talks about the transition to college, his expectations for the upcoming year, what number he will be wearing, and much more.

Q: When do you graduate?

DONNAL: June 5th.

Q: How has it been going as you wrap things up this month?

DONNAL: It's been good. Everything is kind of coming to an end and I'm just really looking forward to getting out to Iowa and starting a new chapter.

Q: When do you make the move out there?

DONNAL: I'll be going June 20th and I'm going to take a couple summer classes and start working out.

Q: Not every freshman takes classes right away in the summer. What made you want to jump into that?

DONNAL: I just thought it was a good idea to kind of get acquainted with the whole schedule. I'll take a couple classes just to get a feel for everything and get warmed up for everything to come.

Q: What are you looking forward to in starting workouts this summer?

DONNAL: I'm just ready to get out there with all the other guys and get after it and get ready for the season.
