Offers pile up for Florida tight end

The offers keep piling up for Fort Meade (Fla.) tight end Brandon Fulse.

During an interview with UGASports, the 6-foot-5, 248-pounder said he's up to 21 thus far, but barring something unforeseen plans on cutting that list to 10 sometimes in early June.

Will Georgia be on that list?

"Yeah Georgia's got a good chance to making it," Fulse said of the Bulldogs, who were the first school to offer back last September 1.

Since then, an impressive list of schools has followed suit.

The list includes SEC rivals Auburn, Alabama, Florida and South Carolina, along with ACC members Florida State, Miami and Clemson.

Michigan and Oregon have so as well.

"Georgia was the first school to offer me so they're pretty high on my list," Fulse said. "I like it a lot."

Fulse feels that way even though he said the Bulldogs are recruiting him to play defensive end.

But although he currently prefers the tight end spot, Fulse said he'll listen to what the Bulldogs have to say and plans on talking to coaches more about it when he visits Athens at some point this summer.

The Athens trip will be one of many he plans on taking, joining journeys to Alabama, Auburn, Texas Tech, Michigan, Clemson, Cincinnati, South Carolina, Tennessee and LSU.

"When I talk to Georgia they say a lot of the same things, like the graduation rate, how they want me to be part of the defense, to be part of the team, things like that," said Fulse, who is being recruited by Bulldogs running back coach Bryan McClendon. "My relationship with the coaches will be very important, the academics and playing time."
