Langford takes official visit to Auburn
Football wasn't the only Auburn program that hosted top recruits on official visits this weekend.
While Gene Chizik welcomed four-star running back Demetrius Hart and four-star cornerback Jonathan Rose, basketball coach Tony Barbee and his staff hosted one of the top in-state prospects in the 2011 class.
Shooting guard Devin Langford, 6-foot-6, 180 pounds from Lee-Huntsville, was in Auburn on an official visit. Langford arrived on the Tigers' campus Friday afternoon and left Sunday.
"It went great," said Langford. "I really liked it. I got there and met with an engineering advisor, learned more about Auburn's engineering program. I also got to watch the team practice, and then later we played some pick-up games.
"Friday night, I went out to eat with all of the coaches. I had a good time. I like all of their coaches. Coach (Tony) Matlock is recruiting me, but I've gotten to know all of them. All seem like really nice guys."
Langford was hosted on his visit by guard Frankie Sullivan....
