While they struggled to keep drives going and had a paltry 20% 3rd down conversion percentage, the Beaver offense did do a few things well.  During the first game against TCU, the Beavers struggled to get the balls into their playmakers' hands and Jacquizz Rodgers struggled to get going.

That wasn't the case on Saturday as seven receivers made catches and Quizz racked up 134 yards rushing.  Ryan Katz was 15-26 on the day for 142 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.

Although they sputtered, the offense didn't do anything that killed the game.  There were no fumbles and no interceptions, both of which could have easily happened on such a wet day.

My favorite play of the day…Quizz in the Wildbeaver, handing off to Markus Wheaton.  That was a thing of beauty and I can already envision variations that will keep teams guessing.  Imagine Wheaton and Quon in motion…yowzers, what is a defense to do then?

Can they do better?  You bet, but they did what they needed to do to win the game.
