Moore catching on as clutch receiver
Florida receiver Carl Moore had two catches for 26 yards in last week's 31-17 win at Tennessee, which certainly isn't anything that jumps off the page.
Yet, it was Moore who earned the team's offensive player-of-the-week honor.
1. Because Gator coach Urban Meyer raved about Moore's blocking.
2. Because both of Moore's catches were huge, each converting a crucial third down (one was third-and-8, the other third-and-9) on separate Gator scoring drives. On both plays, the 6-foot-4 Moore jumped high into the air to make the grab.
