KU heads to Little Apple with plenty at stake

With just six regular season games remaining on the schedule, No. 1 ranked Kansas (24-1; 9-1) is still very much in the running for another Big 12 regular season championship. However, if the Jayhawks hope to make it seven straight titles, they simply can't afford another "L" in the loss column, especially on Monday night. Should Kansas sweep the Sunflower Showdown with Kansas State (16-9; 4-6), Bill Self's squad would remain within striking distance of Texas, who is unbeaten in conference play. A loss in Manhattan would likely put an end to KU's current streak of six Big 12 regular season championships, and would also make its stay atop the polls a short one.
