Back on the team
One day after head coach Mark Richt announced he was no longer a part of the Georgia football program, running back Ken Malcome is back with the team.
According to a release by the Bulldog sports information department, Malcome requested and was granted his return by Richt, who after practice Wednesday indicated he would allow the former Southwest DeKalb standout to come back if he requested.
Thursday, he did just that.
According to former Southwest DeKalb assistant and current Miller Grove head coach Damien Wimes, he spoke with Malcome Wednesday night about his decision.
In a text to UGASports, Wimes said Malcome "just thought about it and went back."
Malcome is expected to resume practicing with the Bulldogs Thursday afternoon.
