Jackson has SDSU in top two

Alex Jackson is one of San Diego State's highest-priority recruits. At 5 feet 10, 175 pounds with 4.4 40-yard dash speed, SDSU believes he could be a key cog for the Aztecs' future development into a powerhouse program.

And if Jackson likes what he sees on Saturday when he's expected to take an unofficial visit to State and catch its game against TCU, SDSU will be one step closer to landing the stud receiver from Culver City (Calif.) High.

"I've never been to the campus, so I really want to see the campus and see what the school is like," Jackson said. "I just want to see what it's like to be down there."

Jackson said he spoke with cornerbacks coach Tony White earlier this week and he invited him to the game. Several other big name recruits are expected to attend, and Jackson said White wanted him to meet some of the guys who could be his future teammates.

But Jackson still has a ways to go with his decision-making process. He still does not have a top five, although he said SDSU and Iowa State are currently his top two schools. He's already visited Iowa State this past weekend, and is still planning on taking his official visit to SDSU in December.

"My top two is Iowa State and San Diego State," Jackson said. "(Iowa State) was cool. It's really different. It's a change of pace from LA, so I thought that was really cool."

Jackson said he's also recently been talking to Arizona and Cal. But other than State in December, there are no official visits lined up yet. After he takes his visits, however, he said he'll have a decision.
