Ducks land 3-star safety

The Oregon Ducks got a nice surprise Tuesday evening as they picked up their fifteenth commitment for the class of 2012. Duck Sports Authority caught up with, Reggie Daniels, the most recent Duck commit shortly after he hung up the phone to see what he had to say about his decision.

"Yeah, I did commit a couple of hours ago," he said. "I talked to coach Neal and he sounded real excited. He went and told the other coaches and then I talked to coach Kelly. Everybody was really excited when they found out."

Daniels is a four star safety from Hamilton High School in Chandler AZ. He has been fairly quiet about his recruitment lately starting speculation that he was already a silent commit to the Ducks but he says that wasn't the case.

"I was talking it over with my mom. Everybody kept saying what would be best and I didn't want any distractions or anything. So I just wanted to take my time and make a choice for me," he said.

Daniels made his official visit to Eugene in October to watch the Ducks take on the WSU Cougars and he talked a little about how his trip went.
