JUCO QB visits Iowa

Junior college quarterback Cody Sokol has been busy with visits this month as he tries to decide which college he will attend starting next semester. This weekend, the 6-foot-3, 210-pound signal caller from Scottsdale Community College saw his travels take him to the state of Iowa, where he was born actually, for a visit with the Hawkeyes.

"It was good, real good," said Sokol. "I got to tour the stadium, which I'd never really done before, and that was really cool. Then I got to watch them practice, see the campus a little bit more, and also went to a basketball game last night. It was a lot of fun."

Sokol, who was born in Des Moines and moved to Arizona when he was young, had sophomore tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz as his host.
