Veterans rise up for Wildcats

When the going gets tough on a basketball team, relying on veteran players becomes a popular solution. Kansas State successfully used that strategy in its 84-80 victory over Texas on Wednesday night. Behind 33 points from junior Rodney McGruder and 14 more from foul-plagued senior Jamar Samuels, the Wildcats ended a two-game Big 12 slide by defeating the Longhorns for a third straight time.
