Rams offer Texas speedster

More than ever, today's game of college football has put a premium on speed. Accordingly, coaches have put an emphasis on recruiting athletes that can create plays in space, and Lancaster (Tex.) High School speedster Demarcus Ayers fits that mold.

The 5-foot-10, 165-pound athlete with 4.4 speed picked up an offer from Colorado State wide receivers coach Alvis Whitted over the weekend, joining Navy, North Texas, Washington State, Texas State, and Tulsa in offering the talented playmaker.
