McGruder powers Cats past OSU

Prior to the season, every coach in the league knew just how special Kansas State's Rodney McGruder could be this season. On Saturday afternoon, the unanimous preseason All-Big 12 selection proved them correct. After struggling in the first half and scoring just two points against No. 22 Oklahoma State, the senior erupted for 26 points on 10-of-13 shooting in the second half to guide the No. 25 Wildcats to a 73-67 victory to kickoff conference play in front of the loudest crowd of the season at Bramlage Coliseum.
