Beedle makes MSU his 'dream school' reality

Earlier today 6-foot-5, 285-pound David Beedle of Clarkston High School contacted Michigan State Head Coach Mark Dantonio and informed he he was committing to the Spartans.

Beedle was offered on Wednesday after having a strong performance at the Sound Mind Sound Body Camp and the Michigan State Big Man Camp. Beedle told SpartanMag.com the following on Wednesday.

"I have always looked up to State when I was growing up and looked at them as a dream school and I have made it a reality. Michigan State's football program has a great winning reputation and they play some major competition. I love the coaching staff and everything about it."

SpartanMag.com recently released our post-camp rankings for players in Michigan for the class of 2014 and Beedle checks in at #10. Rivals.com currently rates him as a 3-star recruit. Rivals.com Midwest Recruiting Analyst had the following to say about Beedle following his performance at the Sound Mind Sound Body Camp last week.

"Beedle's stock has been on the rise for the past several months, and it should continue to climb after his showing at Sound Mind, Sound Body. At 6-foot-5 and 278 pounds, he could play a 5-technique or 3-technique role in college, and that versatility makes him more attractive. Beedle could not be handled at SMSB, beating offensive linemen with his speed and power."

Helmholdt rated Beedle as the #2 prospect in attendance at the event which featured approximately 800 participants.

Stay tuned to SpartanMag.com as we will have more on Beedle and his commitment in the near future.
