5. Rounding out running back
There is little doubt that James Wilder Jr. and Devonta Freeman will receive the bulk of the carries for the FSU ground game this fall. The returning duo, along with graduated players Lonnie Pryor and Chris Thomson, handled nearly all the carries for the Seminoles in 2012. In fact, fullback Chad Abram, who had just four carries for 20 yards in 2012, is the only other back on the roster that saw any action last season.
With only two established backs available to carry the football, it's likely that another player or two could work into the rotation. With Pryor now playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Abram will take over at fullback and will certainly become a significant cog on the Seminole offense. The converted safety did see plenty of action in the spring game carrying for 43 yards on 13 carries but it's unlikely that he will see the football as often as Pryor did.
