Unheralded fullbacks will play an important role
Joe Kerridge and Sione Houma may not catch a ball this year (though they probably will). They may not run the football once (this is true) and they won't garner all-conference recognition, but they will be critical to an improved running game.
Think back on the top rushing performances in Michigan history and there is likely a common denominator - a bruising, pave-clearing fullback. Chris Perry (2003) and Mike Hart (2004) had Kevin Dudley. Anthony Thomas (1998-99) had Aaron Shea. In 1997, Chris Howard had Chris Floyd.
