Analysis: The ramifications of Amara Darboh's injury

With all the promising news on linebacker Jake Ryan's warp-speed recovery, Michigan probably felt the injury karma was on its side heading into the season. But this morning, U-M announced sophomore receiver Amara Darboh would miss the year with a foot injury.

The immediate reaction is two-fold - as head coach Brady Hoke pointed out, the staff and fans should feel awful for Darboh. Here was a young man that had done everything in the offseason to put himself in position to be an impact player on the outside, opposite fifth-year senior Jeremy Gallon.
