U-M 24, UConn 21: Notes, quotes and observations
Michigan has more questions than answers following a second straight disappointing showing against what was supposed to be a much weaker opponent, a 24-21, come from behind win over UConn. One of them, though, isn't 'what time is practice this morning' since Sunday afternoon's post-Akron practice didn't quite meet its objective.
The first few days of the next two weeks (starting today) will be used to heal and reassess following two perplexing showings following an impressive win over Notre Dame that probably fooled many into thinking The Wolverines were better than they were. Head coach Brady Hoke stopped short of comparing the UConn near miss to Akron in terms of focus, however - in part, probably, because it would be considered piling on at this point. There has been (and will be) substantial criticism, and Hoke's team can't afford its leader to bail on them, too.
