U-M 63, Indiana 47: Notes, quotes and observations

Seven games into the 2013 season, a few things seem obvious - one, nothing's going to come easy for Team 134, and they make it harder on themselves than it seems they have to. They did it again in Saturday's much needed, 63-47 win over an improved Indiana team that should have been a blowout given how well the offense played.

It wasn't, though, because of ill timed turnovers (again) and a defense that took a step backward in a big way. Limiting big plays has been the mantra, but the Hoosiers gashed the Michigan secondary for touchdown passes of 59, 33 and 67 yards, part of a 572-yard (410 passing) day on offense.
