Four-star WR returns from Iowa
Four-star wide receiver Adonis Jennings is on his way home to New Jersey this afternoon after making an official visit to Iowa over the weekend. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Jennings, who is currently committed to Rutgers, says that he enjoyed his first trip to the Hawkeye State and it gave him a lot to think about moving forward.
"It was a great visit," said Jennings. "I loved it out there. I was expecting it to just be cornfields and everything, but when I got into the city it was really nice."
Jennings' hosts for the weekend were junior linebacker Quinton Alston and freshman running back Akrum Wadley. Alston came to Iowa in 2011 from Timber Creek High School, which is where Jennings is from, so the two New Jersey natives spent some time talking about the transition to the Midwest.
"He said he got used to it and he loves it there," Jennings said.
Through seven games this season, Jennings has 49 catches for 782 yards and eight touchdowns for Timber Creek, who currently has a 6-1 record. Rivals.com ranks the four-star prospect as the No. 45 wide receiver in the nation and No. 7 recruit in the state of New Jersey this year.
