Detroit Junior DeShawn Sims Likes Michigan

For all of the talented players that the Detroit Public School League has produced in the past few years -- including current Michigan State's Maurice Ager, Michigan's Dion Harris, Kentucky signee Joe Crawford, Oregon signee Malik Hairston and rising senior Chris Douglas-Roberts -- big men definitely have comprised the shallow end of the PSL's talent pool. Neither the 2004 or 2005 PSL senior class contains a high-major big man recruit. But it appears that the 2006 class does.

Vince Baldwin of Prep Spotlight recently told The Wolverine that rising junior DeShawn Sims of Detroit Martin Luther King High School, who Baldwin described as a "face-up '4' [power forward]," is one of the state's best prospects regardless of class.

On Monday, Sims discussed his recruitment with The Wolverine.
