Tate getting a headstart on the Plains

Every year at this time, most 17-year-olds are getting ready for prom, graduation and a senior trip. But Benjamin Tate isn't most 17-year-olds. Tate, who won't turn 18 until August, is a day away from his first collegiate football practice. The state of Maryland's all-time leading rusher graduated from high school in December. As a result, he's the only one of Auburn's 2006 signees set to participate in spring.
