Webb hoping to play right away

Anthony Webb knows that stepping on the field and being an immediate impact type player as a freshman will be no easy task. However, the four-star prospect from Dallas, Texas, expects to do just that. With his time at South Oak Cliff High School coming to an end, Webb is looking forward to making his way to Lawrence in order to get his career as a Kansas Jayhawk started.

"I am doing track and field right now and working out on my own," said Webb. "I do the 110 high hurdles and the 300 meter hurdles. I guess that you could say that I am pretty good at it. Running track and field is something that I like to do, so I have been able to get good at it.

"The coaching staff at KU sent me a workout schedule in the mail," he added. "Once I get done with my running activities, I head to the weight room and do the workout that the coaching staff sent me."

Once Webb graduates from South Oak Cliff High School, the 6-foot-1, 190-pound cornerback will make his way to Lawrence, Kan. For Webb, that day cannot arrive soon enough.
