The Rebel lineman has been quick with a quote and has had many schools at one time or another believing they were in the lead for his signature.

Davis stands at 6-foot-4, 260-pounds and he runs a 4.78 (hand timed) in the 40-yard dash. He was named honorable mention All-State in Class 5A after finishing his junior season with 88 tackles, 8 sacks, 1 interception, 5 pass breakups and 3 fumble recoveries.

"Other than Florida State, everything has been out the same," Davis said. "I was real excited that they offered. I've felt pretty good about Florida State ever since I got into football."

The coaches at Florida State are wanting Davis to come visit their campus soon and he is considering it.

Davis was asked if he has a top-three or top-five and he said: "This is not in any real order, but LSU, Florida State, Notre Dame, Ole Miss and Auburn."
