Moore's Stock on the Rise

The hectic summer portion of the hoops schedule is about to heat up, which means that it's just about time for next year's crop of rising seniors to take center stage and start to make a name for themselves. One player who has already attracted plenty of attention from Tennessee and other programs, is East Chicago, Ind. shooting guard E'Twaun Moore, a Top-100 prospect in the Class of 2007.

Tennessee landed one Hoosier-State product in Marques Johnson this past season, and Moore could fill a need in this next class, when the Vols will likely look to use one of two available scholarships on perimeter help with an eye towards a scorer.

Moore (6-foot-3, 175 pounds), who has a reputation as a big-time athlete and premium defender, but this spring he's showing more of an offensive game. He could probably fill that role the Vols have on the perimeter. After the way he began this summer season this past weekend at the Boo Williams' Invitation in Hampton, Va., though, expect the competition to land him to be severe.
