Wright ended up in Tallahassee, not Athens
Fort Lauderdale, Fla., St. Thomas Aquinas safety Major Wright planned to visit the University of Georgia last weekend for the spring game, but he didn't quite make it to Athens. He had a bump in the road and that lead to Wright's visit to Tallahassee to see the FSU scrimmage and the Seminole's campus.
Wright, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound head hunter for Coach George Smith at St. Thomas Aquinas, has picked up offers from over twenty programs across the country. He was named to the pre-evaluation Rivals100 a couple months back and is one of the most sought after athletes in South Florida.
Last Friday, Wright and his father planned on driving up to Athens, Ga., for an unofficial visit to the University of Georgia, but they ran into a problem and ended up at Florida State.
"We had some car trouble," said Wright. "We got right around Tallahassee and something went wrong, so we decided to visit Florida State."
