Owens taking a history lesson

Since the end of G-Day signaled the start of the summer off-season that ends with preseason camp in August, Georgia sophomore defensive tackle Jeff Owens and the rest of the Bulldogs at that position have gone into the past while preparing for the future, watching film of former Bulldog standouts at defensive tackle, Marcus Stroud and Richard Seymour.

Owens is hoping to see Georgia's defensive tackles, which also include redshirt freshman Kade Weston and true freshman Ricardo Crawford, reach the level of Seymour and Stroud's legacy before their Georgia careers come to a close.

"That's our dream, just to be where they're at right now," Owens said. "Right now, we've got to take it one day at time, prepare hard and focus on next season."
