Texas quarterback is a top LSU target
Regardless of how the current quarterback situation at LSU plays out, the Tiger coaching staff know that they need to sign a quarterback in the class of 2007 as the current situation could get thin in a hurry if someone declares early for the NFL draft, transfers to another school for more playing time or injury.
One of the top quarterback prospects on LSU's board is Texan Joe Chaisson of Westbrook High in Beaumont.
Chaisson who stands at 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds passed for 1646 yards and 13 touchdowns. With is quick feet he ran for 774 yards and 15 touchdowns, earning him District 22-5A MVP honors as a junior.
LSU linebackers coach and special team's coordinator Bradley Dale Peveto is recruiting Chaisson for the Tiger staff.
"He's a great guy and I like communicating with him," Chaisson said.
