More and more prospects are popping up on UConn's radar as the spring continues and two players that have started to receive interest from the Huskies are running backs who put up impressive numbers as juniors.
Jeff Link a 6-foot-1, 205-pound prospect from Cumberland (Md.) Allegany, is one of those recruits and he rushed for 1,514 yards and 22 touchdowns on 213 carries last season and helped lead Allegany to a 14-0 record and its eighth state title in school history.
Link, who is hearing from the Huskies, Marshall, West Virginia and others, played running back and outside linebacker this past season and Allegany coach Tom Preaskorn said he might project on the defensive side of the ball in college.
