The Weekly Spin: 11 to watch

Two weekends in to the AAU summer schedule, including the passing of the prestigious Kingwood Classic in Houston, "The Weekly Spin" knows that Cal fans want the latest on who they should watch over the summer.

As the Bears continue to recruit both the 2007 and 2008 classes, 10 players currently stand out. As BearTerritory chronicled throughout his junior year, Drew Viney is one of those standouts.

Viney is simply spectacular. He is not a player that you can gauge in just one performance - you have to take the time to watch him play as many contests as you can. With the ability to defend, rebound, score, pass, and block shots, Viney is without question a 5-tool player. He has excellent range on his jumper, rebounds extremely well for his 6-foot-7 frame, can score with his back to the basket in the post, and knows how to find his teammates. Viney is a winner who does a number of things that don't always show up in the stat book. Last weekend, Viney helped lead the SoCal Razorbacks to the semifinals of the Kingwood Classic. Combining with close friend and likely Rivals 150 member Kamyron Brown, Viney was one of the tournament's top scorers.
