More offers on the way for Clemons

If Valley junior wide receiver Toney Clemons has more than 20 or 30 scholarship offers by the time he chooses a college, no one will be surprised. As one of the top receiver prospects in the state of Pennsylvania, Clemons, 6-3, 190, oozes athleticism that can be seen year-round. Whether it's catching passes and returning punts (which he did for touchdowns five times) or running the 110 high hurdles and long jump, Clemons is nothing short of 'uber-athlete.' College recruiters certainly have been paying attention.

In addition to correspondence, Clemons also had some visitors last week and expects more to come this week. So far, Clemons holds scholarship offers from Pitt, Akron, Mississippi, and Connecticut, but he said that he has gotten the impression that the Michigan and Notre Dame coaches will extend offers to him when they visit him at school this week. Clemons added that there are quite a few more colleges that appear to be on the path toward offering him.
