Cali QB has TCU flying high
When discussing the top California signal-callers in the 2007 class, San Jacinto quarterback Chasen Stangel has been left out - until recently.
However, Stangel's name is hitting new heights in recent weeks and is becoming one of the fastest-rising quarterbacks on the west coast.
Stangel is holding three offers, including one from Purdue which caught many by surprise.
The talented athlete also hails offers from New Mexico and New Mexico State but after a strong performance at a recent NIKE Camp his offers are sure to climb before all is said and done.
Those who don't know Stangel all that well can't argue with the numbers he put up as a junior where he threw for over 2,400 yards and 19 scores with only five interceptions. Stangel was named to the first team De Anza League as well as first team CIF Division 2 honors.
