Mason looking for minutes
Justin Mason is taking the off-season very seriously with a seven-day a week regimen that includes off-season workouts at Palo Duro, weight lifting and playing in games at Amarillo Community College. Mason is coming off of a senior season in which he averaged 24.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, five assists and 4.5 steals leading the Dons to another undefeated district run. Mason talks off-season, expectations and goals in a question and answer session.
How are your off-season workouts going?
Good. I'm going through off-season with the team at Palo Duro everyday. On the weekends, I shoot, lift weights and play games at Amarillo Community College. Trying my best to be ready to compete when I move to Austin June 1st.
What did you do best as a senior on the court?
I got my teammates more shots this year. I always had a double team running at me, so it was up to me to get my teammates the ball.
What are your expectations for the summer workouts in Austin?
Just to go through the off-season with the team. Work on my game in individuals, especially my shooting and getting to know the guys better.
