Harris gets huge offer

Gardena, Calif., Serra athlete DaJohn Harris received an offer from his "dream" school earlier today.

The talented two way player said despite the offer, he's not ready to make a decision yet, but does have a definite leader at this point in his recruitment.

Harris, 6-foot-3, 260-pounds, plays both tight end and defensive tackle, but he's currently being recruited more so on the defensive side of the ball. He worked out with the tight ends at the US Army combine last winter and was rated the top player at the position.

Saying that, we love Harris as a future defensive tackle and feel that's definitely his best college position.

"I kind of like tight end a little better but I just want to play whatever position gives me the best chance to reach my goals," Harris said. "I didn't get a lot of chances to catch the ball last year so I was a lot more active on the defensive side of the ball. I'll play either side but a lot of the offers for me so far have come as a defensive tackle."

Harris is now up to 12 scholarship offers and received a big one earlier today.
