Bruins offer two-way standout

Two-way standout Shane Vereen from Valencia, Calif., now has eight offers on the table.


The talented Vereen has the ability to play on either side of the ball as a running back or a lockdown cover corner on the Division I level. He has been on the radar since his sophomore season due to his overall athleticism.


Vereen is a good old-fashioned double-threat performer out of the backfield. He's a playmaker catching the football, as well running.


On the offensive side of the ball, Vereen rushed for 1,638 yards and scored 28 rushing touchdowns. He was just as dangerous as a receiver hauling in 52 receptions for 898 receiving yards and seven more scores.


As a cornerback, Vereen racked up 43 tackles, three picks and one sack. He also returned punts and kicks as a junior.
