Ohio QB has connections to UK
Connections to the Kentucky football program abound for one of the rising quarterback prospects in the Class of 2007.
South Point, Ohio, standout Chris Smith lives only two and a half hours from UK, has family in Lexington and a brother who played for new Wildcat quarterback coach Randy Sanders during his tenure at Tennessee.

"My brother played for coach Sanders at Tennessee, so that was the main connection," Smith said. "They had a real good relationship. Our family has a lot of respect for him. He's a good coach and a good person.
"They were one of the schools that we sent film to, and it sounds like they're pretty interested. I don't know a whole lot about (UK) right now, but with coach Sanders there and it being an SEC school and close to home, I'm interested."
