Southern a high-major player

Like most players in the class of 2007, Joshua Southern is just trying to get a better feel for his recruitment.

The 6-foot-8, 238-pound power forward from Saginaw, Mich., scholarship offers from a large number of high-major programs.

However, the three-star prospect is trying to determine what schools to visit and when to take those visits.

"There are so many schools recruiting me," said Southern. "Tennessee, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Wisconsin, DePaul, Boston College and Pittsburgh are the ones that I remember off the top of my head. I believe that all of the schools that I have mentioned have offered me a scholarship."
