Fili has the genes

With offers in hand from Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Utah, and Washington State, it is easy to see why Simi Fili is smiling.

The defensive tackle out of Salt Lake City Cottonwood stands 6-foot-5, 315 pounds and looking forward to a productive month.

Arguably the top defensive player in the state of Utah, Fili owes part of success to his DNA.

His cousin is former Oregon defensive tackle Haloti Ngata and 2006 prospect Stanley Havili. Ngata was a first round pick in this year's draft to the Baltimore Ravens, while Havili was the top prospect in the state of Utah last year, and will suit up for the USC Trojans next season.

Oregon finds themselves in a good position with Fili.
