Cali standout picks up third Big 12 offer

Two-way standout Anthony Wright (6-0, 183, 4.5) from Compton, Calif., has become quite a favorite of the Big 12 conference as he notched his third offer from the league that covers the heartland.

"Today Anthony Wright (Tuesday May 9th) received another Big 12 offer from the University of Colorado," Compton coach Calvin Bryant said. "The recruiting process is going very good for Anthony."

Wright picked up his first offer from Baylor, then Nebraska followed suit last week and now Colorado has thrown their hat into the ring today offering the talented running back/defensive back a scholie.

There are even more Big 12 schools showing interest in Wright. He has even received letters from Big 12 powerhouses Oklahoma and the National Champion Texas Longhorns.

On the offensive side of the ball, Wright rushed for 1,020 yards and six touchdowns.

As a defensive player, Wright racked up 51 tackles, two picks and one forced fumble.
