Southern comforts Michigan fans

Is Saginaw big man Joshua Southern interested in Michigan or isn't he? Depending on what you read (and where you read it), the 6-9 class of 2007 standout, Rivals.com's No. 92 player in the junior class and No. 22 power forward, may or may not have U-M among his top choices heading into the summer before his senior year.

He told TheWolverine.com Monday night, though, that Michigan is among the schools recruiting him hardest, adding he'll likely take an official visit to Ann Arbor this fall. He and his family made the trip last Thursday, an enjoyable visit in which Southern and his parents spent a good amount of time with head coach Tommy Amaker and assistant coach Mike Jackson.

Southern insists he's wide open but is being recruited most heavily by Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, Miami, Ohio State and Boston College, among others.
