Running back lands first offer

Running back Michael Lee (5-6, 165, 4.5) from Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure is carrying on a the great running back tradition for the Seraphs. Like those who ran the football before him at St. Bonnie, Lee is destined to land a D-I scholie.

Lee has excellent bloodlines his brother is Matt Lee who is currently a red shirt freshman at the University of South Dakota. His cousins are Florida State running back Lorenzo Booker, former Trojan and now wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers Keary Colbert and former NFL speedster Ronnie Jenkins.

Jenkins you may remember has the United State's high school record for most rushing yards in a single game with over 600. He did that feat on the same field that the Ventura County Combine is held on, Oxnard (Calif.) Rio Mesa.

Lee is living up his high quality football legacy. As a junior, Lee earned all-CIF, all-county, all-league and all-state after rushing for 1,984 yards and 32 touchdowns. He also had 11 receptions for 182 yards and one more touchdown. He played banged up so Lee didn't return kicks and punts as a junior but the word is he will have those duties in 2006.

Fresno State is the first school to offer. He is being recruited by the likes of Nebraska, Florida State, Washington, Michigan, Georgia Tech, Idaho, Nevada, UNLV, Northern Arizona, Northwestern and Army.
