Down to the wire

Damion James,'s No. 16-ranked prospect in the 2006 class, is coming off of a whirlwind three days that included official visits to Texas A&M and Texas. James tripped to College Station Thursday and left Friday midday. He then went directly to Austin for an official visit that ran from Friday evening through Saturday afternoon.

Nacogdoches head coach Mark Richardson said James had good visits to both programs, as expected. With so much activity crammed into such a short period of time, James had things to think about after taking back-to-back official visits.

Speculation has James leaning to Texas A&M or even making a silent commitment, but Coach Richardson said he did not believe a pledge had been made.
