Texas DB accruing several offers

Texas Tech lost three starters from their 15th-ranked secondary of last year. The only way to replace those three and build towards an even better pass defense for the future is to recruit well and develop talent. The Red Raider coaching staff has already pulled two defensive backs out of Irving MacArthur in Brent Nickerson and LaShawn Vation, so it stands to reason that 2007 safety prospect Bret Harris would generate some interest on behalf of the Red Raiders.

"I think I'm up to like 10 or 12 offers right now. As for who stands out the most, I'd say it's Nebraska, Oklahoma State, and Arkansas right now," Harris said. "I talk to the coach at OU a lot and I've also talked to the coach at Oklahoma State too. Mainly they just talk to me about taking a visit and stuff. Coach (Mike) Leach was out at our school. I spoke to the coaches after he left. I don't have an offer, but I hope I get one."
