DB Tejay Johnson connecting with ISU
The northeast Dallas suburb of Garland, Texas, was popular recruiting territory for Iowa State in the class of 2006 and they received two signatures from prospects in that city.
The Cyclones are back targeting the Garland area again in 2007 and one of their top targets is South Garland safety Tejay Johnson who now knows a lot more about Iowa State thanks to a former teammate.
The 6-foot-0, 185-pound Johnson played last season with incoming Iowa State freshman wide receiver Derron Montgomery who has put on his recruiting hat.
"I don't know that much about them, but it sounds like it is exciting," said Johnson.
