Huskies ringing up another hooper

The list seems to grow by the handful weekly. Now Washington has its name firmly supplanted on the Corperryale Harris radar. Landing the 6-foot-4, 170-pound combo guard from Redford High in Detroit will be a different chore alltogether. Harris, 45th in the Rivals150 for 2007, is one of the hottest prospects out there after a sizzling junior campaign and a huge spring AAU run with The Family.

Perhaps that's why Washington rang Redford coach Ken Flowers late last month, becoming the latest entry in the "Manny" sweepstakes. "Someone from there contacted my coach a couple weeks ago," said Harris (aka Manny) on Thursday night. While Flowers hasn't directly talked with anyone on the Husky staff, he did confirm that he received a voicemail from Washington -- which was "one of many calls (from different schools) lately."
