Schenley's DeJuan Blair has a busy summer

When the Pittsburgh JOTS AAU team plays, often five-star prospect Herb Pope from Aliquippa gets most of the attention. That is slowly changing now that Schenley forward DeJuan Blair (6-7, 240) is healthy again. Blair missed the AAU circuit the past two years after suffering injuries to both knees.

Over the recent Memorial Day weekend Blair had a breakout day when he scored 36 points and grabbed 23 rebounds including 19 offensive rebounds in the finals of the Tournament of Champions played in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The Pittsburgh Jots won the Jam Fest in Pittsburgh and have participated in the King James Classic in Akron. They also reached the finals of the Bob Gibbon's Tournament of Champions in North Carolina.

Blair indicated that he now has scholarship offers from Pittsburgh, Florida, Cincinnati, Kansas State, Indiana, Duquesne, Akron, Xavier, West Virginia, Providence, Miami of Florida and Rutgers.
