Mendoza focusing on senior season

One player from the state of Texas that is high on several team's wish list is Houston Spring Woods running back Marcus Mendoza. The dynamic back missed the latter part of his junior season due to injury, but that hasn't stopped some of the nation's elite programs from extending the blue chip prospect an offer.

The 5-foot-10, 175 pound currently has offers in the fold from TCU, Texas Tech, Baylor, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Arizona, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Arkansas, UCLA, Iowa, and Iowa State.

Although the fleet running back missed 3-1/2 games last season in district play he still managed to gain 657 yards and score 10 touchdowns en route to second team district honors.
