Dallas 'backer likes rising ISU program

Last year's run at the Big 12 championship game and 7-4 regular season record for Iowa State received significant national attention, and not just from the media. College football recruits also took notice and one of those was Dallas (Tex.) Greenhill linebacker Alvin Jordan.

The 6-2, 228-pound Jordan started watching the Cyclones after receiving recruiting interest last year and was impressed with what he saw.

According to Jordan, Iowa State has capitalized on that season, with regards to recruiting, by keeping up appearances with him and from frequent chats with Cyclone running back coach Tony Alford.

Currently, Jordan holds offers from Wyoming and Louisiana-Monroe. Iowa and Boston College have also shown a lot of interest and both are looking at him for fullback, while many other schools project him on defense.
